About EcoRing

Daily presentations by a variety of environmental, historical and alternative transportation organizations will include; bicycle, rail historical groups, the North Bay Electric Auto Association, LandPaths, Sonoma Land Trust, the Laguna Foundation, Marconi State Conference Center, Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods, Forest Unlimited, Audubon’s Cypress Grove Research Station and Coastwalk. These organizations will provide the educational component of the odyssey.

An extensive marketing program with travel and news press coverage, KRCB television, website, social networking and daily video posts will be launched to raise public interest and support for alternative transportation, trail development advocacy and its funding. In the future, annual trips will give national and international visitors an opportunity to experience these historic odysseys.

In May of 2011, as a promotion for SMART development of alternative transportation there will be motor car rides and presentations along the SMART rail between Geyserville and Novato. County officials and dignitaries will be invited to participate.

The excitement is building. All aboard!
